Here is a Press Release recently done on the Conference:
Ghost Hunters Descend Upon Benicia for Bay Area Paracon
Public invited to join paranormal investigation Saturday September 27
Benicia, CA (September 22, 2014) Bay Area Paracon, Benicia’s first conference on paranormal activity is attracting celebrity ghost hunters, paranormal TV investigators, intuitives, authors and their fans to Benicia on September 27, a city known for unusual activity. The program is open to the public and tickets are available now.
A highlight of the conference is an experiential ghost investigation of Benicia’s historic Capitol led by paranormal speaker detectives. A portion of funds from ticket sales will benefit the non-profit Benicia State Parks Association (BSPA). Space is limited and advance registration required.
Bay Area Paracon features nationally recognized paranormal speakers including celebrity TV investigator, Ben Hansen of the hit SyFy television show, Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files; Brian Cano, paranormal investigator of the American reality television series Haunted Collector; Jeff Dwyer, Bay Area author of several successful books on ghost hunting and paranormal phenomena; Eve Lorgen, paranormal researcher, hypnotherapist and author, The Love Bite, Alien Interference in Human Relationships, plus Cinthia Varkevisser, intuitive graphologist. The event will be moderated by Karen Rontowski, comedian, ghost huntress and Reiki master.
“I have had an interest in clairvoyance ever since I was very young and Benicia is the perfect location for northern California’s paranormal conference,” said Carol Reed, longtime Benicia resident, intuitive and Bay Area Paracon producer. Along with a rich and vibrant past, Benicia has a unique history and paranormal evidence making it an exceptional city to explore including ghost sightings at the Capitol. Over the decades, many unexplained occurrences, strange incidences and other unusual phenomena have been reported. I look forward to exploring this first hand with our paranormal investigators,” she continued.
Dan Smith, Volunteer Coordinator, Benicia State Parks Association (BSPA) stated, “We have a very interesting old photograph from the 19th century and reports of an apparition dressed in period clothing that visits the Capitol regularly. This sighting contributes to the on-going debate about whether the Capitol is haunted. We are excited to have experts on paranormal activity visit our town and see what they think.”
On Friday, September 26, participants are invited to join in a Para-Mingle at the Benicia Yacht Club where fans, novices and the merely curious can mingle with their favorite paranormal TV hosts, authors and investigators.
